Its just me or does it feel a bit strange to feel 100 percent comfortable having Jason Vargas take the mound every 5 days. Sure, I wouldn't put him at the same level of confidence I have in Lee or Felix, but it seems like he does his goddamnedest to keep his team in the game. Today, he outdueled Ryan Dempster for 7 innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 walk and K'ing 7.
Offense provided by Guti's bat with a 2 run homer that brought Lopez around the bags with him.
PLAYER OF THE GAME:
Vargas yet again. Would love nothing more to see him get some CY votes this season.
