Wow, French relieved by Snell. Doesn't surprise me that 8 runs got tacked on to those guys. I know they both have potential, they're both young, and teachable, but it's time the Mariner's apply to these guys the same old adage that the Cubs turn to every season: Not this year.
Offensively, it started with promise, as Ichiro belted a lead-off homer. Figgins also scored after reaching base and it seemed like this one might go our way. Unfortunately, French/Snell let it slip away and the offense couldn't come back.
