Well a close pitched game by the unlikely to get-er-done Ian Snell was wasted on an offense that spent itself on the bloodbath of the previous night. Nine hits were scattered by the M's offense that only sent Ichiro on a round trip around the bags. Snell, in his best outing so far, went 5 innings, giving up 1 run, 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. Aging Matt Stairs spoiled the fun by homering in the 4th and Texeira threw one by Josh Bard that allowed Chase Headley to trot home.
PLAYER OF THE GAME:
I'll give this to Snell, since it should have been his first win of the season and I'm not holding out for a repeat performance.
