Game 18 Summary: WHITE SOX 5, MARINERS 4

Once again Doug Fister took the mound and took a game into the 8th inning and only gave up 2 runs. However, once again, the White Sox took the game from the M's in the 9th with a walk off 2-run homer off the bat of Alex Rios. It was the first blown save by David Aardsma after the M's closer managed to finish the first 6 games he was brought into.

Offensively, the Mariners managed only 4 hits, but one came in the form of Franklin Guttierrez's first home run. Also, Casey Kotchman picked up his 5th double and Jose Lopez, his second, but it just wouldn't be enough.

PLAYER OF THE GAME:

Fister has had quality starts in all 4 games that he's pitched and making a strong case to stay in the rotation once Lee and Bedard come back.
